Pirates Manager Frankie Frisch & Unidentified Umpire in Dispute

12.Umpires-Rule.jpg

Pittsburgh Pirates Manager Frankie Frisch and an unidentified umpire in dispute is one of the first baseball photos I ever kept.  It is a story in itself, though the precise history and caption are gone.  Frankie Frisch, far left, is leaving the field with his team after a noticeable argument.  But the argument is not over, as the umpire, unnamed in the caption, continues to demonstrate his decision.  The Pirates, however, do not agree, and keep howling in protest.  A Free Lance Photographers Guild photo, the shot was taken by R. Linofsky, and run by the New York Daily Mirror on an unknown date. What is the first baseball photo that you kept? And do you know who the umpire might be?
