Which Diamond Lil Do You Want?
For fans of the theater it must have been a treat to visit celebrity photographer Morrison's studio and select the photograph of Diamond Lil most desired. Here are two cabinet cards, both from Morrison celebrity photographers in Chicago. Very popular in this era of the 1880s and early 1890s was Lillian Russell, stage performer who was the equivalent of Marilyn Monroe in her day. Though she may have looked more like Madonna, American and English men went wild for her. The single image cabinet is from the top line in the photo of thumbnails, far left, number 2701. But there are 29 other selections possible. All of them lovely. Please share your comments below or share this blog with your friends on Social Media, "tweet" or “like” this page on FB.Looking for the perfect picture for your next project?
