The Chicago White Sox are playing the New York Giants in Wembley Stadium in October 1924. I imagine this dialogue between catcher, Harry Danning (HD) of the Giants and batter Ted Lyons (TL) of the White Sox.HD: What the hell is the temperature here - I've heard five different numbers?TL: It's London, Harry.  It's cold, it's foggy, and it’s rainy.  I think it's 34 degrees.HD: Oh God.  I gotta make sure to catch these tosses in the webbing.TL: Why do you think I missed that pitch?  It would have stung like hell if I hit it.HD: I know a guy who broke a finger in cold weather, just catching a ball.  That wasn't here, though.TL: OK, Harry.  Two promises - send in a high one and I'll swing right through.  Plus, no more complaints about Chicago weather.Baby its cold outside this winter season no matter where you live.  Stay warm as you enjoy this holiday season.
