Ghost Dance

Ghost Dance Cabinet CardD.B. Chase, photographer from Santa Fe, New Mexico, went over the top with this image. Set up at his studio it is unclear if this configuration was in any way related to the Ghost Dance, the title of this image. The two wearing war bonnets in profile framing the medicine man in the center of the tableau, with a look in his eye that leaves one haunted. And well it should. The Ghost Dance was a late 19th Century development as North American Natives became more desperate in their fight to save their culture. It's goal was to call back the ancestors to bring wisdom and bodies to stand against the white death. It seems a good time to revive the Ghost Dance, because this time the government would not pay attention to such activity, and it might be our only hope. Please share your comments below or share this blog with your friends on Facebook, Linkedin or Twitter.Looking for the perfect picture for your next project?
