Golfer Ben Hogan

BenHoganAugusta6.jpg

Golfer Ben Hogan was a man of action, yet my favorite photo of him shows the champion golfer in a meditative pose inside the clubhouse at the country club in Augusta, Georgia.  The large windows let in a lot of light, as we see the golfer in profile. And, oddly, the composition of the image creates a tension in a photograph which depicts nothing but rest.  Hogan is wearing his famous hat, and contemplating the four titles he won at the U.S. Open in Augusta, tying him with three others for the most wins there ever.  But 1953 was to be his last victory there in Georgia. Please share your comments below or share this blog with your friends on Facebook, Linkedin or Twitter.Looking for the perfect picture for your next project?
