Native American Baseball Teams
Native American Baseball Teams.Teams came in all shapes and sizes, and all colors. The mixed race teams were common in Cuba, but never in the United States until the 1950s. Often no more than one black player was on a team, there because of his outstanding ability, no doubt. Native American players had a better time of it, but not much. The Nebraska Indians was a successful barnstorming squad out of Lincoln. They had Indian players for the most part, with white fill-ins varying in number each year. Looks like only three or so white players on this version, probably from 1910.Please share your comments below or share this blog with your friends on Social Media or “like” this page on FB or Twitter.Looking for the perfect picture for your next project?
