Look At Adolph Hitler

We should always be willing to look at things as they are including Adolph Hitler. Our visions of the past are all guided by our ability to really face whatever happened, and understand events as they developed through time. Humans often prefer to hide from the past, and actually hide from our own natures. Our visions of the past are thus edited, and indeed created by the content allowed and the content censored. As they say, the victor tells the history. It is true that history will be altered to suit those who rule.  But now we have something different in the 21st Century.Adolph Hitler Promo - The Rucker ArchiveInternet entities such as eBay have banned images of Hitler as insulting, and they claims to be fighting Nazi propaganda. But in truth they keep us from seeing the truth and looking at life with open eyes and minds. When I first saw this series of postcards issued in Germany in the 1930s, I was surprised. I was surprised mostly by the truth these photographs tell. It is obvious in looking at this series that Adolf Hitler was a dramatic actor, and he used his body language and his voice to persuade and control his people. These real photo postcards show a performer, but a careful look at his hands and his face will prove disturbing. Disturbing, too, is the idea that an entire people could look at this performance and be seduced by this creepiness. This is the visual truth of between-the-Wars Germany, and we should look right at it.Of course, we have our own brand of creepy politicians, celebrities, and demagogues. Care to name a few?Adolf Hitler Promo - The Rucker Archive
