Ted Williams for Coke

Ted-Williams-Coca-Cola-SIgn-1950-.jpg

Ever since a group of these posters of Ted Williams promoting Coke were discovered in New England in the early 1980s, they have been a mystery. No definitive story has contradicted the speculation, part of which is attached to Ted Williams’ ornery nature. The Coca-Cola company never released this design, though obviously the posters were printed. Williams often left contracts unsigned, as he did with baseball card companies in certain years. He must have done the same with this promotional window card, circa 1950.Please share your comments below or share this blog with your friends on Social Media or “like” this page on FB or Twitter.Looking for the perfect picture for your next project?
